What we take off your plate

Fewer interruptions for your crews and office

These are the IT problems that come up most for construction companies. Here is what IT support from us looks like for each one.

Every job site connected
Problem: A trailer running on a phone hotspot
How we help: Secure connections for trailers and temporary sites, so crews and supers can pull plans and send paperwork from the field.
The right file, anywhere
Problem: Crews building off an old drawing
How we help: Project files organized and shared securely, so estimators and PMs work from the same set.
Lost devices, no drama
Problem: A lost tablet full of company data
How we help: Company phones and tablets managed and locked down, so a lost one can be wiped remotely and replaced.
Bids that go out on time
Problem: Ransomware the week a bid is due
How we help: Email protection, backups and monitoring, so a phishing email or ransomware doesn't take you offline near a deadline.
The software you already run

We support your stack so you can keep it.

Your construction software runs on computers, networks and accounts that we manage and keep patched. When something breaks, we call the vendor for you.

The cost of doing nothing

What waiting costs you

Most owners start by asking what IT will cost. In our experience, the bigger number is what the current setup is already costing in time, focus and missed work.

Bids that slipWhen files or email are down close to a deadline, the bid is what gets late or doesn't go out.
Supers and PMs doing ITEvery hour spent fixing a connection on site is an hour not spent running the job.
Your attentionWhen nobody owns IT, it tends to land on the owner, and that pulls you away from winning and running work.

With us: one local team owns your IT and handles problems before they reach you.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What does IT support for a construction company include?

One team takes over the IT your business runs on: servers, email and Microsoft 365, file storage, backups, computers, phones and tablets, the network and firewall, and the calls to your internet provider. Your office and field staff get one help desk to call, for one flat fee per user each month.

How does pricing work when half our people are in the field?

One flat fee per user, per month, the same way our managed IT services are priced for every client. Before you sign, we work out with you how to count field staff who only use a phone for time entry. You'll know the number up front, and it doesn't change without a conversation.

Can you get our job trailers online?

Yes. We recommend the right connection for each site, usually a business cellular router with a backup, then set it up and manage it like any other office. When the job wraps, we move it to the next one.

Do you support Procore, Sage and the rest of our software?

Yes. We support the software you already run instead of asking you to switch. We look after the computers and servers it depends on and keep them patched. When something breaks, we call the vendor's support line so you don't have to.

Our estimators say their computers crawl at bid time. Can you help?

Usually one thing is the bottleneck: the computer, the file server or the network between them. We find which one before you spend money on new hardware, then tell you what it costs to fix.

Will we have to replace our equipment?

No. We start by taking stock of what you have. Anything that's failing or out of support gets flagged with a price, and you decide when to replace it.

What happens if a phone or tablet goes missing on a job site?

We lock it and wipe company data from it remotely, then set up a replacement. Because company devices are managed from day one, a lost tablet stays a small problem instead of a data breach.

What if we get hit with ransomware in the middle of a bid?

We contain it first, then restore from backups we test regularly, so recovery isn't guesswork. We also walk through your cyber insurance carrier's claims process with you.

A GC sent us a security questionnaire. Can you fill it out?

We'll tell you what's in place so you can answer it accurately, and what it would take to turn a no into a yes. A short form is part of the service. A long formal questionnaire or audit package is quoted as a separate IT consulting project, so you know what you're paying for.

Do you come to the office, or is it all remote?

Both. Most problems are fixed remotely by our help desk, often within minutes. When something needs hands on it, someone from our Richmond team comes out, and we can schedule weekend work when it's easier on your crews.

Which parts of Virginia do you serve?

We work with construction companies across Virginia: Greater Richmond (Richmond, Henrico, Chesterfield, Midlothian and Mechanicsville), the Tri-Cities and Southside, Charlottesville and Central Virginia, Fredericksburg and the Northern Neck, and Hampton Roads and the Peninsula. Don't see your area? Give us a call and we'll let you know.

How long does it take to get started?

Onboarding takes 90 days or less, and we guarantee it. If we don't finish in that time, you can cancel with no penalty or termination fee.
