What waiting costs you
Most owners start by asking what IT will cost. In our experience, the bigger number is what the current setup is already costing in time, focus and missed work.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does IT support for healthcare include?
IT support for healthcare is the day-to-day care of the technology a practice runs on. That means the front desk and exam room computers, the network and Wi-Fi, email and Microsoft 365, backups, security, and the calls to your EHR and imaging vendors when something breaks. We provide it as managed IT services, for one flat monthly fee per user with unlimited support.
We have 18 staff but only 9 are full time. How does pricing work?
One flat fee per user, per month. Before you sign, we work out with you who counts as a user. You will know the number up front, and it does not change without a conversation.
Do you sign a business associate agreement?
Yes. We manage systems that touch protected health information, so a BAA is part of onboarding rather than something you have to ask us for.
We run Veradigm. Do you support it?
Yes. We support Veradigm, eClinicalWorks and the other software you already run instead of asking you to switch. We look after the computers, servers and network it depends on and keep them patched. When something breaks, we call the vendor's support line so you don't have to.
Our EHR vendor says the problem is our network. How do you handle that?
We get on the call with them. We can show what the network is doing with real measurements instead of guessing, so the conversation stops being a standoff between two vendors. If it is our side, we fix it. If it is theirs, we stay on it until they do.
Will we have to replace our equipment?
No. We start by taking stock of what you have. Anything that's failing or out of support gets flagged with a price, and you decide when to replace it.
Can you help us with HIPAA?
HIPAA work such as risk analyses, policies and audit preparation isn't part of Managed Services. We handle it through our separate vCIO and vCISO services, quoted on its own so you know what you're paying for. Managed Services keeps the systems themselves secure and running day to day.
Our front desk cannot wait in a ticket queue at 8am. How fast do you answer?
A local person picks up, and our average first response is 26 minutes. Support is unlimited and included in the monthly price, so nobody at the front desk has to decide whether a problem is worth calling about.
What if ransomware hits while we're seeing patients?
We contain it first, then restore from backups we test regularly, so recovery isn't guesswork. We also walk through your cyber insurance carrier's claims process with you.
Do you come to the office, or is it all remote?
Both. Most problems are fixed remotely, often within minutes. When something needs hands on it, someone from our Richmond team comes out, and we can schedule after-hours work so it doesn't interrupt patient care.
Where in Virginia do you work with practices?
Our office is on Hull Street Road in Richmond, and we support practices across Virginia, including Richmond, Henrico, Chesterfield, Midlothian, Mechanicsville and Lynchburg. Most support happens remotely, and when something needs hands on site, someone from our own team comes to you.
How long does it take to get started?
Onboarding takes 90 days or less, and we guarantee it. If we don't finish in that time, you can cancel with no penalty or termination fee.
