In our experience, these are the concerns that come up most for accounting and CPA firms. Here is what working with us looks like for each one.
We support your stack so you can keep it.
IT support for accounting firms starts with the machines your tax software runs on. We keep those workstations, servers and the network patched, and when UltraTax or Drake stops working, we call the vendor for you.

What waiting costs you
Most owners start by asking what IT will cost. In our experience, the bigger number is what the current setup is already costing in time, focus and missed work.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does IT support for an accounting firm include?
One team runs the IT your firm depends on: servers, email and Microsoft 365, file storage, backups, computers, the network and firewall, and the calls to your internet provider. On top of that come the parts an accounting practice needs, such as multi-factor sign-in for tax and accounting software, encrypted file exchange with clients, and remote access for staff working from home in season. It is one flat fee per user each month.
We have 11 full-time and 6 seasonal staff. How does pricing work?
One flat fee per user, per month. Before you sign, we work out with you how seasonal staff are counted. You will know the number up front, and it does not change without a conversation.
We run Drake and QuickBooks. Do you support them?
Yes. We support the software you already run instead of asking you to switch. We look after the workstations and servers it depends on and keep them patched. When something breaks mid-season, we call the vendor's support line so you don't have to.
We don't have a WISP. Can you write one?
Yes, as a separate engagement. Writing an information security plan from scratch is a real project with real hours, so we quote it on its own instead of folding it into the monthly fee. You keep the document, and we keep the technical side lined up with it.
How do you handle seasonal staff coming and going?
Accounts get created with an end date and a defined set of access, and they close on that date without anybody having to remember. When someone comes back next season, we reactivate the account instead of rebuilding it.
Can you get us through busy season without buying new hardware?
Sometimes, and it is worth finding out before you spend. We look at what is slow and why first. The bottleneck is often one machine, one setting or the network rather than the whole office. If you do need hardware, we tell you which pieces and why.
Our tax software vendor says the problem is our network. How do you handle that?
We get on the call with them. We can show what the network is doing with real measurements instead of guessing, so the conversation stops being a standoff between two vendors. If it is our side, we fix it. If it is theirs, we stay on it until they do.
What happens if someone clicks a phishing link in February?
We contain it first, then investigate, then recover. Endpoint protection isolates the affected computer automatically, and because we test restores on a schedule, getting back to work is a known quantity instead of a hope.
How fast do you answer in the middle of tax season?
A local person picks up, and our average first response is 26 minutes. Support is unlimited and included in the monthly price, so nobody has to decide whether a problem is worth calling about.
Do you come to the office, or is it all remote?
Both. Most problems are fixed remotely. When something needs hands on it, someone from our Richmond team comes out, and we can schedule after-hours work so it doesn't interrupt client work.
How long does it take to get started?
Onboarding takes 90 days or less, and we guarantee it. If we don't finish in that time, you can cancel with no penalty or termination fee.
Where in Virginia do you support accounting firms?
Our office is on Hull Street Road in Richmond, and we support accounting and CPA firms across Virginia, including Richmond, Henrico, Chesterfield, Midlothian, Mechanicsville and Lynchburg. Most day-to-day support happens remotely, and when something needs hands on site, a technician from our own team comes to you.
